Zaza Lewis

Zaza creates her pictures combining plain coloured card with textiles. The card is firstly hand-cut, then a variety of fabrics will be chosen to add colour, texture and contrast. Originally from France, Zaza’s  inspiration is drawn from buildings and villages with interesting ironworks especially, as well as illustrating detailed flowers, shrubs and trees.

From a distance, it’s not immediately obvious how the pictures are constructed, but as you get closer, you will start to notice the fabric textures, providing a happy contrast with the card.

These greeting cards are printed showing only a section of the originals. You can see more of the full designs on her website.
